I have been in the additive manufacturing space since 2007 when the company I worked for bought a SLS 3D printing machine. I have since watched the space take off and more importantly the prices come down. SO after much research I went ahead and bought a CR-10 V3. Some of the key features that I like included with the 3D Printer

1. 300x300x400mm Build space, this is huge and will cove most everything I wanted to print.

2. Full metal hot end, I wanted to be able to print ABS and PETG so this was a must for the higher print temps than just for PLA or PLA+

3. Direct Drive for filament, I much preferred the filament being feed directly with the Titan drive over the bowden tube setup found on most printers in this price range.  

4. Huge community, eventually you are going to run into a snag and having a large user base to help you out is amazing

Now that I have owned this for 9 months I can honestly say I am super happy with the machine. I bought some extra tips and some spare wheels for the unit but it hasn't needed anything else. The machine is actually pretty quiet, I regularly use it throughout the day and even during conference calls and it has never been an issue. I have not had any issues with filaments, it seems to take whatever brand I buy and the prints usually come out great. I put my printer on a metal shelf and have the filament feeding down from the top. Totally eliminated the snag issue I had when the filament was set off to the side.

 Short review for today, I needed to extend my wireless coverage to the back yard. My son likes to listen to music when we are playing outside and lets just say his music tastes are not on my vast library of stuff I was able to get on Napster. Fisher Price Linkimals

 Today's review is the Linkimals toy set by Fisher Price, these are a series of electronics toys that all have a bluetooth connection with each other and can sing, dance and do educational games with your kids. There are a bunch of different animals to choose from and they come in two basic sizes.  The Small ones are a Moose and a Beaver The larger ones include a hedgehog, sloth, panda, otter, penguin, lama, turtle, and a koala Each of the toys are completely independent and you only need to have one to play with.
